Let me spin you a short tale of harsh mockery, quiet perseverance and overcoming the prejudice of others.
I saw a new, enticing flavour of chips on the shelf in Woollies.
KettleTM Camembert & Fig.
I eyed them off hungrily.
My partner said, “Gross, they’ll taste disgusting.”
I said, “How dare you?” and purchased 2 packets.
I took them home and saved them to share with friends at our upcoming D&D session.
I brought them out on the day, proud and excited to try them.
They all said, “Gross, they’ll taste disgusting.”
I said, “Fine, guess I’ll eat them all.”
So, I poured them into a bowl, sat them in the middle of the table and starting eating.
They were damn delicious. They had the figgy sweetness and the creamy camembert taste that you can always find on a good grazing platter.
I enjoyed them so much that my partner and friends became curious.
They tried them.
AND THEY DAMN WELL ENJOYED THEM AND THAT’S THE LAST TIME I’LL ALLOW ANOTHER HUMAN BEING TO MOCK ME FOR MY CHIP CHOICES THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
And that’s the story of how I’m now solidly addicted to these amazing chips.
